Breakfast is for me the most delightful meal in the day. Those fluffy pancakes are wonderful for a breakfast!!! With a cup of coffee, it's so yummy!! These pancakes remind me the hotel breakfasts, when I travelled a lot visiting United States. I remembered when I stood by the buffet trying to find the best for me : pancakes, muffins or croissants, yogurt, fruits, muesli....bacon, eggs..... I love hotel breakfasts.    Since I found this great recipe in a cooking magazine, I made pancakes... [Lire la suite]

Daring Bakers' February 2012 Challenge - Quick Bread

The February 2012 Daring Bakers Challenge was choosen and hosted by Lis, Daring Kitchen Co-Founder. She chose Quick Bread using baking soda, or baking powder, but no yeast. It's really quick to make "because it doesn't require kneading or rising time." It's really a great choice :) It's a lovely challenge for me, because I had a lof of adventures in my kitchen a few weeks ago making a cornbread. My friend Florence gave me the recipe and a beautiful skillet, she said " it's so easy to make" . But I put baking soda instead baking... [Lire la suite]

Lentils with Green Onions

Lentills are relatively quick and easy to prepare. They do not require presoaking and cook to tenderness in only 20 or 30 minutes.   "Healthy Heart" Cookbook - American Medical Association- inspired me for this recipe : a really good book to eat and live well, a book to fight heart disease. It's wonderful, the green onions -that I added just at the end- give a super flavor and the cooking is perfect! Serving : 2-3 Ingrédients : 1 Tbs olive oil 1/2 yellow onion, chopped  2 cups fat-free, no-salt... [Lire la suite]
